How It Works

Three simple moves. Here's how it comes together.

The Base

Choose the fragrance you want to lead, and pour more of it. Everything else gets built around this one.

The Layer

Pour a second edition in behind it, in a smaller measure. Even in a supporting role, an edition this intense won't fade quietly. A specific note usually still comes through, more than just a trace of it.

The Signature

The blend you land on becomes your signature. Not just a scent, but how you felt in that moment, translated into something for your space.

Principles

A few principles we work from, not limits:

Start with two. Each Zaaman fragrance is already a composed scent, with its own top, mid, and base notes. Two is enough to feel how they meet. After that, it's up to you.

Not every pairing works. We want to encourage you to layer, but some fragrances are already complex enough, and different enough from the rest, that we'd leave them alone.

Give it time. A pairing needs a few hours before it settles. That's when it actually tells you what it is.
